Once you have found your dress, take some photos of yourself wearing it, as this will be a huge help when shopping for jewellery. Take these photos to your chosen jeweller to give them an idea of your overall look, and they will be able to help you find the right jewellery to compliment your dress, without drawing focus away from it.
Notice the little details in your dress
There will be certain elements of your dress that will lend themselves to particular styles or pieces of jewellery. A plunging neckline would look fantastic paired with a string of pearls or a classic pendant, whereas if you have opted for a halter neck style you may decide to go without a necklace. Try to focus on a specific detail on your dress, which may be pearls, crystals or something else. Take note of this detail and try to carry that same style through into your jewellery. If your dress has a lot of embellishment, you may want to go with simpler jewellery options, to help compliment the look, rather than compete with it.

With all the fun and excitement of choosing your bridal jewellery, it can be easy to forget everything else!
