Laings is a proud partner of The British Heart Foundation, working together to raise funds to help achieve the mission of ‘Beating Heartbreak Forever’. The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is a charity that funds research to find cures and treatments for heart and circulatory diseases, the world’s biggest killers. However, there is still more work to do and we continually dedicate time and resources to support its lifesaving efforts.

A MESSAGE TO LOVED ONES
Underscoring the phrase ‘the gift of giving’, Laings launched a Christmas campaign to raise funds for the British Heart Foundation and provide a platform for our clients to share special messages. The campaign ‘A Message To Loved Ones’ took place in our showrooms with dedicated letterboxes to post a sentimental letter through and virtually online, with each note emailed to the chosen loved one by Laings to open on Christmas Day. In total, we received and shared over 250 heartfelt messages on our website. With a £10 donation made per message, this would mean the total raised was £2,530. However, in the festive spirit, we donated £5,000 to the British Heart Foundation to help continue their lifesaving research.

Laings Golf Event
Each year, Laings hosts an annual golf day at Gleneagles to raise money for the British Heart Foundation. With an event so close to their own hearts, the 2022 golf day saw Stuart and Lynda Laing host the players for a day of sporting excellence. The 84 players arrived at the prestigious destination before they embarked on the renowned Kings Course. In total the day raised £44,000, with all proceeds going to the British Heart Foundation, working towards its vision of a world without heart and circulatory diseases.

To celebrate the 60th birthday of The British Heart Foundation, the Laings team set out to travel the distance between all of our stores combined in a sponsored marathon. The original goal to reach was 975km, but the team greatly exceeded this and managed to cover a tremendous 2,093km. Through sponsored walking, running and cycling, Laings raised a total of £2,733 for the British Heart Foundation, helping to keep hearts beating and blood flowing across the United Kingdom.
