In 1967, Robert Laing had a vision to put Glasgow on the map for jewellery design. Robert brought prestige to the local industry through a unique collaboration with Glasgow School of Art, nurturing the next generation of Scottish designers.
For the 175th anniversary of Laings, the family crafted a one-of-a-kind necklace designed with Celtic influences. Years later, tales of the necklace still fascinate.
Using Scottish Jasper from the mountains was equally daring and innovative. It was crafted into the centrepiece of the 1986 Commonwealth Baton, designed by Laings for the Edinburgh Games.
A special relationship to Laings since the 1960s, we share a passion for craftsmanship and quality with Sir Jackie Stewart. In 2022, we reunited with Sir Jackie to create a unique necklace for his charity.
