The stunning Trump Turnberry luxury resort opened its doors once again on Friday 1st September for the highly anticipated Turnberry Ladies Who Lunch event in aid of Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity. After the success of last year’s event we were definitely looking forward to attending another day filled with glitz and glamour.
As usual the stunning ballroom looked gorgeously elegant and luxurious, the perfect setting for almost 500 glamourous ladies! On the day they were treated to a glass of champagne (or two!) a delicious three-course lunch and a fabulous goody bag. Elaine C. Smith hosted the day and the Scottish actress and comedian certainly kept everyone entertained.
In the Crystal Ballroom we set up our pop-up shop! We had an enchanting collection of gemstone jewellery, including a bright and beautiful yellow diamond cocktail ring and a magnificent tanzanite pendant. The ladies favourite though seemed to be an enchanting morganite set, with the most unusual gemstone gathering many admirers.
Of course we also had a selection of dazzling diamond jewellery, from engagement rings, to show-stoppers and more delicate designs. Pieces from our pre-owned collection were also admired, providing a little vintage chic.
Whilst we were kept busy at the complimentary jewellery cleaning station the ladies were also given the chance to win a dazzling prize – a Blue Topaz and Diamond Pendant worth £870. For £5 per entry, which was all donated to charity, all they had to do was guess how many glittering diamonds were in a cocktail glass. There was a huge mixture of answers, but one lucky lady was the closest!
We had a fantastic day at the brilliant event and we’re sure everyone had an amazing afternoon raising money for an exceptional charity that does some great work – thanks to Trump Turnberry for having us!
