City Awards is an evening of celebrations, it’s an evening to acknowledge the people and organisations that make Glasgow a thriving city. The Herald and Glasgow Chamber of Commerce teamed up with People Make Glasgow to reward and recognise the businesses and citizens who are making a tremendous contribution to the cultural and economic climate of Glasgow.
As a family-business based in Glasgow we were proud to sponsor the evening! Held on 7th September in the DoubeTree by Hilton the evening presented an array of people and businesses with awards ranging from the Arts and Culture Award to the Industry and Business Award and Legacy Award. It was all about recognising the citizens that are making a difference at all levels and celebrating the best of Glasgow!
The lovely Jennifer Reoch was the host of the evening. We welcomed the STV presenter into our store earlier in the week to help her to select some dazzling pieces to wear on the evening. Once we discussed outfits we headed out to the windows to allow Jennifer to pick out her favourite pieces.
In the end she went for a statement diamond bangle that was perfect for the dazzling occasion. She also picked out a pair of elegant diamond earrings with the swinging drop style catching the light beautifully

Every glamourous evening also needs a spectacular cocktail ring, so Jennifer wore a magnificent tanzanite ring that was surrounded by a cluster of gorgeous diamonds.
The Laings team were also there on the night with a complimentary jewellery cleaning station and selection of dazzling diamond jewellery, as well as some gorgeous gemstone pieces.
We had a fantastic evening celebrating the city of Glasgow and well done to all the winners on the night!
