Ecommerce Manager

Our Opportunity

As our eCommerce Manager you will be responsible for our online presence, incorporating the implementation of our Laings strategy, meeting our brand partnership requirements, and optimising laingsuk.com for optimal conversion while ensuring that our clients have a secure and seamless journey. Collaborating with our Head of eCommerce your position is pivotal, responsible for eCommerce online sales, targets, and continuing growth.

Main Role Accountabilities:

  • Managing our developers by overseeing the design and development of our Laings website.
  • Working with our UX/UI designer to optimise and visually enhance our website.
  • Responsible for managing the team ensuring key duties such as merchandising, product launches, recommendations, personalisation, search result redirects are carried out as required.
  • Provide reporting and analysis weekly and as required using analytics and internal resources.
  • Identify and explore new and relevant technologies to enhance the client experience.
  • Liaise with our client service manager and use any feedback to implement enhancements to the client journey.
  • Collaborate with our Digital Marketing Manager, to ensure optimisation of our website as required for each campaign landing page.
  • Hold the ability to conduct market research.
  • Liaise with buying team and brands to ensure seamless product launches.
  • Have a solid understanding of system integrations and requirements.
  • Incorporate best practices and compliance procedures.
  • Proactively train and develop broader eCommerce team members.
  • Ensure budgets are managed as agreed along with develop schedules and timescales.

Skills Requested:

  • 5+ years’ experience in an eCommerce role.
  • Degree in Business, Marketing, Technology, or related field; or equivalent experience.
  • Experienced with web hosting and ecommerce platforms.
  • Professional and self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Highly analytical, confident with monitoring web analytics and internal data sources, creating dashboards and reporting.
  • Proven ability to design and execute roadmaps, along with the ability to incorporate best practices and meet guidelines.
  • Demonstrated success with meeting budgeting objectives.
  • Extensive experience in digital marketing strategies focused on SEO and Google's Core Web Vital metrics.
  • Knowledge of key marketing platforms such as Google ads, social media, and email.
  • Sound people management experience.
  • Prior experience in quality control and assurance, along with development of schedules and setting accurate timescales.
  • Highly motivated, commercially aware and hold a genuine passion to drive our business forward.
  • Eagerness to remain up to date with eCommerce fast moving trends and developments.
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written, with a passion and sound knowledge of the luxury online market.
