Laings was delighted to host the Patek Philippe 2023 Exhibition collection in Glasgow and Cardiff, displaying some of the most anticipated timepieces of 2023 alongside many classic, much-loved models.

The collection was exhibited in the showrooms as well as at illustrious and exclusive events hosted in each city. The clients had the chance to view and try on watches in the beautiful setting of each venue, followed by a champagne reception and fine dining.

Celebrated for its striking Georgian architecture and impeccable service, Glasgow’s Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel was the perfect venue to host the renowned collection. With a special history spanning across almost two centuries, the Blythswood was a fitting host for Patek Philippe – a watchmakers with a rich past and legacy of excellence spanning over 184 years.

Patek Philippe dinnerAmongst the 2023 collection was Ref. 5905R-010. This timepiece was a monumental new release, uniting two renowned Patek Philippe complications – the self-winding flyback chronograph and annual calendar. This new interpretation exudes contemporary yet timeless elegance, a favourite amongst watch connoisseurs for both its impressive technology and stylish appearance. The newly released Gondolo Ref. 4962/200R-001 was also amongst the collection, dazzling guests with its 94 brilliant cut spessartites arranged in colour gradient from cognac to mandarine tones.

With a worldwide appreciation for Patek Philippe’s meticulous attention to detail and utmost care in its watchmaking, it was incredibly special for the guests to experience Damian’s watchmaking skills first-hand.

The collection travelled to Cardiff where incredible pieces were exhibited in the beautiful fine dining location of The Ivy for a ladies-only evening. With muted florals in shades of lavender, pink and soft beige, the event reflected the elegant femininity of Patek Philippe ladies’ watches. On display were a series of quintessential Patek Philippe ladies’ timepieces such as the Twenty~4 and Calatrava models.

Today, the series of ladies’ models has thrived, with Annual Calendars, World Time watches and Chronographs entering the assembly, graced with the traditional and exceptional craftsmanship details of guilloche and gem-setting – a signature of Patek Philippe.
