Origins of Happy Diamonds
Happy Diamonds were born in the Chopard workshops in the 1970s, when designer Ronald Kurowski sought to reproduce – with jewellery – the magic of sunbeams playing across a waterfall. Over 40 years later, Artisan Lorena keeps the vision alive as she choreographs diamonds, delicately protecting them between two sapphire crystals and allowing the space for them to dance freely. Thus, the diamonds become the stars of the show, using the dial as their stage to express themselves.
The Rebirth of Happy Sport
Chopard presents Happy Sport the First: two limited-edition re-releases of the very first watch presented when the collection was launched. Each piece honours the iconic original design thanks to the legendary dancing diamonds and its “pebble-link” bracelet. However, not without inspiring innovation, the Happy Sport has been reinvented in a Lucent Steel AA23 case in 33mm inspired by the principles of the golden ratio and features a 09.01-C movement with automatic winding.
