Special Moments in 2020

Truly an unforgettable year, this one has been tough for all of us. However, this hasn’t stopped us from making treasured memories and creating joy in more difficult times. Our Head Office and Store Teams are sharing what made this year unforgettable for all the right reasons. Here we look at their special moments in 2020.

Although life looked a little different this year, beautiful moments continued and we all found ways to create wonderful memories. Let’s have a closer look at some of our teams special moments in 2020.

FINDING SOME SPARKLE

Special Moments in 2020

This year I helped my brother-in-law-to-be pick out an engagement ring for my sister. It was such a special thing to be able to do, and amazing to be part of it. We visited Store Manager, Vivienne Shaw in our Glasgow Jewellery Boutique, who talked him through different options and put aside one ring that she thought was perfect. It was the one! The secret was then a hard one to keep, but my sister was over the moon with her ring and it felt so special to be part of a sparkling Laings engagement.” – Kirsten Woods, Senior Marketing Executive

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR GRADUATION

Nominated by our store manager, Vivienne Shaw at the Glasgow Watch and Jewellery Boutique, we are delighted to congratulate a member of our team, Gary Livingstone, on his graduation this year. As well as graduating, Gary turned 21 and celebrated in style with a new Rolex, a token that will represent his hard work and special memories from a truly one of a kind year.

FURRY FRIENDS

“Two days before the first lockdown I was fostering a Japanese Akita with the Blue Cross. He had been a stray and spent the last 18 months in kennels. During lockdown, there was no definitive date for him to be adopted by a forever home, and by April I decided to adopt him myself. His name is Tiger, and he’s a big soppy bear of a dog. He keeps us entertained with his random ‘zoomies’ when out for walks and he enjoys a dip in the rivers and lakes to cool him down, as he has a double coat. My positive from 2020 is that I was able to give a sheltered dog a forever home.” – Andy Andreou, Laings Southampton Store Manager
