The world of Laings is a sparkling one and it’s always a pleasure to be involved in a variety of events and projects all across the UK. Here is a round-up of all of the different things that we’ve been up to…

Laings Welcomes China to Scotland

Although it was an early start there was excitement in the air when the first direct flight from China landed at Edinburgh Airport on Tuesday 12^th June!

We were pleased to be at Edinburgh Airport to welcome the first passengers to arrive from Beijing on the inaugural Hainan Airlines direct flight. As lead sponsors of the Edinburgh-China Air Link Project, we’re proud to have been part of an undertaking that will benefit the city of Edinburgh, and Scotland as a whole. It was fantastic to see the pinnacle of many years of hard work when the first direct flight landed and we’re delighted that this exciting venture now connect two cities which have so much to offer.

Laings Celebrates 200 Years of Paris Smith

We were excited to celebrate 200 years of the respected law firm, Paris Smith LLP at a night filled with glitz and glam.

200 years in the business is quite an achievement and we were happy to be there as Paris Smith celebrated a milestone anniversary. Laings is also a business which has a long history, being founded in 1840, and we were proud to be able to support such a long standing law firm. It was a fantastic night and we also donated a single loose diamond worth £2,500 for a prize draw - the lucky winner turned down the chance of taking the sparkler home, so we donated a sum equal to its value to the Murray Parish Trust!

Laings Cheers on Team Scotland

We were proud to sponsor Team Scotland as they competed in the Celebrity Golf Cup 2018 at Celtic Manor Resort.

Over the weekend some of the biggest names in sport and showbiz swapped paparazzi for putters in the thrilling clash between celebrity teams representing Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland. Heading up Team Scotland was Rory Lawson, who was joined by Max and Thom Evans, Greig Laidlaw, Stuart Hogg and Jenni Falconer. Although Team Scotland didn’t win the golf (!) it was great weekend. Our customers were treated to Hospitality across the weekend and a Gala Dinner, whilst mingling with celebrities and enjoying some entertainment!
