IWC Pilot's Collection 2016 Comes to Parkhouse Hampshire

We are delighted to welcome the IWC Schaffhausen Pilot's Collection to Parkhouse Hampshire for a limited time only! Our IWC brand manager has given us his view of this incredible new collection and it's safe to say we can't wait to have it in store!

'One of the success stories of Baselworld 2016, Europe’s premier watch exhibition, IWC have released the new version to great acclaim.

The first Special Pilot’s Watch left the IWC factory in 1936. It was the start of a special relationship between IWC Schaffhausen and flying. Just four years later came the 52-calibre T. S. C. Big Pilot’s Watch, the first observer’s watch with a case measuring 55 millimeters in diameter! With its instrument-inspired appearance, it rapidly became a style icon and a model for all classic pilot’s watches.

This, the best known of the Pilot’s Watches from the Schaffhausen-based manufacturer, was originally built for the Royal Air Force and has been in constant use for more than 30 years. Since 1988, the IWC Pilot’s Watch tradition has gone from strength to strength. In 2003, IWC launched the first Pilot’s Watch series named after the legendary British aircraft, the Spitfire.

In 2016, watch lovers all over the world can look forward to a wide range of IWC Pilot’s Watches that seem set to create a furore with innovative designs, sophisticated complications and top-quality materials
The IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII I think is a watch of this calibre.

It is pure in form, unobtrusive in character and long lasting because it is build according the company’s values. This new variant stays true to the core principles of its ancestors rightly so since the Mark family of watches by IWC is one of the most important in the history of the Swiss Watchmaking Industry.

The IWC Pilot’s Watch Mark XVIII continues to be the ordinary watch par excellence and it has all that you need and nothing that you don’t…

It was one of the most talked-about watches of SIHH 2016 and with good reason: the IWC Mark XVIII is both a great looking instrument watch and a return to long-wished-for clarity and simplicity in the Mark series of wristwatches from IWC.'

We excited to have this collection in store from 7th October 2016 for 4 weeks only.  The Parkhouse Hampshire team would like to welcome you in store with a glass of fizz and an exclusive chance to see these beautiful pieces.
