Since the 1930s, Patek Philippe World Time watches have been adorned with maps of various regions delicately hand painted in Grand Feu cloisonne enamel. This 2022 model pays tribute to the dynamism of South-East Asia and to Oceania by interpreting this model in a new white gold version with the signature enamel dial. This 38.5mm Complications model features an 18ct white gold case. The central focal point of this timepiece is the enamel centre. Combining geography and poetry, the artisan marks the outlines of the continents with a thin gold wire. He then fills the compartments with various enamel colours blending seamlessly together to represent the oceans and land masses, while repeatedly firing the enameled dial plate at high temperature in a kiln. A self-winding movement with world time is powering this watch, which is finished on a navy blue alligator strap.
