The Watch Art Patek Philippe Grand Exhibition London 2015
The Watch Art Patek Philippe Grand Exhibition London will take place from May 27th to June 7th at the Saatchi Gallery in London.
The Exhibition
The exhibition will celebrate Patek Philippe’s tradition of high-precision watch manufacturing, an insight into the company’s 175 year history and its heritage in the domain of haute horlogerie. You will have the opportunity to discover the world of the last privately family owned Geneva watch company from the inside, a brand very close to our own hearts.Throughout the Gallery, you will have access to over 400 exceptional timepieces in more than 15 themed areas.
Below are a few highlights of the areas we are most looking forward to seeing:
|
175th Anniversary Area Patek Philippe celebrates anniversaries by creating unique timepieces and their 175th anniversary has been no exception. This area is designed to showcase the 175th commemorative collection launched in 2014 to celebrate a very special jubilee and integrates areas such as The Commemorative Watches Collection room, an Immersive Experience into the Grandmaster Chime Movement room and the Grandmaster Chime room. Here you can marvel at the masterpiece from the collection and the most complicated wristwatch ever created by Patek Philippe.

Immersion & Interaction The Immersion room is created to inspire and immerse you into the world of Patek Philippe, where you can enjoy a short introductory film. The Interactive room will be an interactive learning centre and will include different features such as a library, interactive technical and historical animations and ball chairs where you can sit and experience the striking of Minute Repeaters. |
||
| Museum Room Very much like the Museum in Geneva, this room will be divided into two sections. In the first section there will be some of the greatest historical timepieces spanning the last five centuries, including the earliest watches ever made. In the second section, historical timepieces dating back to the 1830’s, including some of the earliest Patek Philippe watches, will be on display. Guaranteed to fascinate anyone with an interest in watchmaking history. |

| Grand Complications Room
This gallery is dedicated to the rarest and most complicated timepieces created. Minute repeaters, Sky moon Tourbillons and Chronographs will be on display in this gallery. Patek have been at the forefront of creating some of the world's most complicated movements, so this will be a truly exceptional showcase. |
The exhibition will also feature current collections, a handcrafts gallery, movie theatres and an incredible live view over Lake Geneva.
This will be a totally unique opportunity to experience many rare and historical timepieces, learn about horology, the history of watchmaking and also find out more about this fascinating industry which is not only composed of watchmaking but also rare handcraft techniques.
The exhibition is open to the public and admission is free.
