Laings has been a long believer in cultivating and nurturing the talent and creativity of designers. With a focus on fostering the craftsmanship and talent of tomorrow, we house a wide array of designers with a wealth of experience and skills. Infusing passion into their everyday work, our bespoke designers can draw upon the world around them to create breathtaking and unique pieces that hold a timeless allure. In 2023, three masters of craftmanship were brought together to create the magnificent Hero of Bespoke collection. An illustration of true artistry, the collection is just an opening to the endless opportunities of bespoke design with Laings.

HERO OF BESPOKE COLLECTION

The innovative new Hero of Bespoke collection places a resolute emphasis on the uncompromising quality and intrinsic value brought forth by the team of exceptional jewellery designers.

A visionary in the industry, lead designer Sarah Alexander, is an artist who _draws profound inspiration from the world that surrounds her. Sarah masterfully infuses her personal experiences and deep-seated love for nature into every exquisite piece within the collection:

“These pieces of jewellery represent to me, a three-decade-long journey of discovery to who I am as an artist. Leaving a fingerprint of my style in the jewellery I create”

ANU

At the heart of the collection is the stunning diamond embellished sapphire statement necklace pulled straight from the imagination of lead designer Sarah Alexander. Of the main gemstone itself, Sarah states that as soon as she saw it she knew she wanted to build a collection around it. Derived from the Celtic Goddess, the Earth of Anu collection embodies land, rivers and sea. With a sapphire as deep as the ocean, the necklace is a sparkling river of colour. The collection is complete with enchanting Anu earrings and a masterpiece of intricacy, the Anu ring.

MEARA

Felicity’s Meara collection is compiled of a trio of awe-inspiring pieces. The cherry-blossom pinks are carried through each component creating a pristine rose garden of jewels when worn together. Inspired by the dancing slopes of leaves and petals, the shapes seen throughout the designs are reminiscent of bouquets of flowers. The central ornament of the selection is the stunning platinum necklace that is matched with the elegant Meara earrings and ring.

PAISLEY

Steeped in culture and symbolism, paisley patterns have long been admired for their intricate design details. The over 2000-year-old motif originated in India before being adopted by weaving centres in Edinburgh & Paisley, Scotland. Designer Adrien was struck by the beauty of these designs, recognising the hidden floral motifs woven into the configuration; this was incorporated into the pieces with a hidden flower in each. Adrien's trio of delights comprises the Paisley Pendant, Paisley Drop Earrings and Paisley Ring.
