Ask Laings: Why TAG Heuer?

Here at Laings we are proud to stock a host of fabulous luxury watch brands. One of our very favourite brands is the esteemed Swiss brand TAG Heuer. This brand have been at the forefront of watchmaking for decades, and are the perfect mix of tireless innovation and contemporary cool.

We decided it was high time to sit down with some of our expert team members and ask them just what makes this brand so special. Today we had the pleasure of sitting down with out Senior Ecommerce Exec Rebecca Baillie. Here's what Rebecca had to say about TAG Heuer watches...

Hello Rebecca! How long have you worked for Laings of Glasgow?

Hello! I have worked for Laings for almost 4 years! I started off part-time in the service department while I was studying at university, it was the perfect starting point for building my knowledge of watches and jewellery. After I graduated I moved into the Ecommerce team and I am now the Senior Ecommerce Executive.

What’s your favourite TAG Heuer piece?

At the moment I would have to say this TAG Heuer Ladies Carrera watch. The diamond set mother of pearl dial and diamond bezel are so glamorous – and they do say you can never have too many diamonds, so why not add them to your watch!?

What sort of personality do you think that watch would suit?

This is definitely the watch for anyone who loves a bit of glamour and sparkle. The best thing is that while you could wear it every day, it would not look out of place at a special occasion or evening function. It’s the perfect watch for day or night.

What features does it have?

This watch has a 28mm stainless steel case and sleek stainless steel bracelet. It has a gorgeous mother of pearl dial with diamond hour markers and a date function at 3 o’clock. A diamond bezel completes the look while the automatic movement means you will never have to worry about replacing a battery. Although this watch is supremely elegant it is also robust, with a sapphire crystal glass and 100m water resistance.

Why is it your favourite?

This watch is my favourite piece because as I mentioned it is a really glamorous timepiece. I’ve always loved anything that sparkles and for years I could never find a watch that both looked good and performed well. TAG Heuer are so good at combining modern style with precision watch-making. I certainly wouldn’t say no to this watch!
