The Rolex 2016 Collection Lands at Laing Edinburgh

Whilst there are many exciting things going on in Edinburgh for the month of August. Our highlight came with a very special arrival on the 26^th! We were delighted to welcome in store the Rolex 2016 Baselworld collection for all to see. Our watch team have been anticipating the collection since their release in March.

To make the most of this very special occasion we invited some of our long standing Rolex fans to join us for an evening to remember. Whilst we are very fond of our watch gallery as it is, we transformed the space into the perfect restaurant to celebrate the newest collection from Rolex. It was the best night of the Edinburgh festival for us.

Our guests and watch team spent the evening with the collection and showcasing the highlights of the latest editions such as the Air-King and Cellini and well as the highly anticipated updated Cosmograph Daytona piece. Its evolution is a blend of high technology and sleek aesthetics, and pays tribute to the heritage of this legendary chronograph collections. For us, this was the champion at Baselworld this year and to finally have this very watch in our own store caused great excitement with the team!

We welcomed our guests onto the jewellery floor on Friday evening and were delighted to be welcomed by Michael Laing himself. After a quick class on fizz, our guests descended on the watch gallery, turned restaurant and Rolex showroom for the evening. After the chance to view the range, we then sat down for a wonderful dinner provided by Appetite.

To end a very special night, after dinner our guests and members of the watch team headed to Edinburgh Castle to see the Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo – an incredible show by anyone’s standards!
