Today, 30 July 2026, marks the opening of our newest luxury jewellery showroom within Glasgow's historic Argyll Arcade. Having proudly called this iconic destination home since 1971, we are honoured to continue our legacy in a setting synonymous with exceptional craftsmanship and fine jewellery.
Representing an evolution of everything Laings stands for, the beautifully reimagined showroom is our fifth location across the UK. Designed to offer an elevated experience at every touchpoint, it will be home to exclusive jewellery, expert workshop services, and the personalised moments that define our relationships with clients. Here, heritage, craftsmanship and contemporary luxury come together, creating a destination where life's most meaningful milestones can be celebrated and cherished for generations to come.

The Workshop
Honouring tradition, our new workshop has been designed to keep the craft of jewellery making and preservation alive. Complete with glass panelling, the space invites clients to see our skilled craftspeople at work in real time, offering a rare glimpse into the artistry behind jewellery care and creation. The addition will also introduce a variety of quick-service options, including engraving and selected same-day repairs. A first for our showrooms, the space reveals the magical world of jewellery craftsmanship while inspiring a renewed appreciation for preservation.

From restoration and alteration services to engraving, charm welding and bespoke work, the workshop allows us to care for treasured pieces while creating new memories for future generations, giving clients the opportunity to leave a personal mark on a piece in a meaningful and lasting way. Having these services visible within the showroom creates a unique connection between our craftspeople and our clients, allowing them to be part of the magic and gain a deeper appreciation for the expertise behind every piece that passes through our hands."
Four New Collections
Four new jewellery collections have launched exclusively within the new showroom and online, with many pieces crafted in Single Mine Origin gold and designed and made in the UK. Rooted in Laings heritage, each new collection brings together storytelling, craftsmanship and contemporary design.
Tide
The Tide Collection is inspired by the enduring beauty of maritime exploration, drawing on the movement of the sea, the strength of sailor’s knots and the romance of far-flung journeys. Each piece evokes dreams of majestic waters, distant horizons and the promise of discovery, with design details that reflect the quiet strength and artistry of a sailor’s craft.
It is an invitation to explore, dream and be carried wherever the waves lead.
Nova
The Nova Collection is a celebration of individuality, personal expression and the magic of the night sky. Inspired by the zodiac, constellations and celestial storytelling, the collection captures a long-held fascination with the stars as symbols of guidance, destiny and wonder. The name Nova means an exploding star or new star, reflecting the spirit of the collection: radiant, personal and full of possibility.
Interchangeable charms are available for earrings, bracelets and necklaces, as well as unique jewellery pieces, all with spellbinding gemstones that create a sense of personalisation. The Nova Collection allows clients to curate jewellery that feels entirely their own.

The collection draws on the natural beauty of Scotland, with gemstones that celebrate the landscape and character of home, whilst the Celtic knot symbolises continuity, connection and the thread that ties generations together.

Following an extensive training programme, the team is ready to welcome clients old and new into the Argyll Arcade showroom, offering an experience shaped by expertise, craftsmanship and exceptional client care.
