Laings Engagements 2016

Engagements are what we love at Laings and there’s nothing like finding that extra special ring for a delighted bride-to-be and one of our favourite things is to hear how happy the newly-engaged couples are! Everyone loves a good engagement story, and no matter how he popped the question it always feels magical and romantic. Laings are always so happy to be part of these beautiful moments!

Here’s a round-up of some Laings Engagements from this year…

Stuart and Kim

Stuart proposed to his now fiancée Kim in sunny Tenerife, by writing his romantic message in the sand, turning an evening stroll into a really magical walk along the beach. It was so lovely for us to hear that Kim was happy with the beautiful ring!

“Thank you for all your help as I can now call my girlfriend my fiancée! She is delighted with her ring, thanks again!”

 

Hazel and Her Musical Ring

Hazel's now-fiancé, Michael, decided that he wanted Hazel to have something truly unique and made the decision to design a bespoke ring, creating something truly personal. As her passion is music, he wanted to incorporate what she loves into her  ring. The end result was an amazing treble clef ring, complete with diamond detail.

“I’m so in love with my music themed engagement ring! I can’t thank you enough for being able to design something which means so much.”

 

Nick and His Lucky Fiancée

Nick surprised his bride-to-be with a really unique emerald ring in trilogy style, with two diamonds either side. Setting the scene with a beautiful outdoor dinner this extra special ring looks really spectacular with its stand-out style.

The trilogy setting represents the couple's past, present and future together and the coloured stone adds a pop of individual style and personality.

 

Kris and Christina

Kris had bought Christina her diamond ring as a surprise through our website, with our online team happily helping him out when needed. He then proposed at Camperdown Wildlife Park in Dundee with a simple, but stunning solitaire design.

“The only thing I’m more in love with than this ring is the gorgeous man who gave it to me. I’m absolutely over the moon and feeling like the luckiest girl in the world!”

 

Garry and Samantha

Garry surprised Samantha with a spectacular pear-cut diamond ring on their wedding day, so that she could have the engagement ring of her dreams. It also creates a stunning mix-match look when paired with her beautiful wedding band.

“Thank you for making this happen – it made a really beautiful surprise work on our wedding day and will always be remembered.”

 

Adam and Sarah

Adam came and visited Laings from England as he wanted to buy an engagement ring from a Scottish family-owned jewelers and what better place than Laings of Glasgow! They both loved the engagement ring so much that they returned for their wedding bands.

Aleksandra and Gabriele

Gabriele wanted to propose with a truly special ring, so he decided to use our bespoke design service to create one he knew his future fiancée would love. He proposed in the amazing city of Athens with a striking zig-zag design set with sparkling diamonds.

Haydn and Danielle

Our very own Assistant Watch Manager, Haydn proposed to his beautiful bride-to-be overlooking the romantic River Amstel in Amsterdam.

The cushion and pear-cut trilogy ring he picked out is a stunning ring that matched the beautiful spot perfectly.

 

Chloe and Jamie

Our E-Commerce Assistant Chloe, said ‘yes!’ to a magnificent Tacori ring that’s full of sparkle!

Jamie proposed on a beautiful beach in Aruba and her wonderful holiday was transformed into a really magical one!
