IWC Joins Laing
We are delighted to announce that IWC Schaffhausen will be joining Laing in the very near future! With their keen passion for innovation and technical inventiveness, IWC Schaffhausen has established an international reputation and we are thrilled to finally have them joining us here in Edinburgh. We also have some very excited staff in store who have been long awaiting the IWC brand and are looking forward to add to an already outstanding collection in store.
With one of the largest watch collections outside of London, we know that IWC are going to fit in perfectly here and they will be well received by an excited watch community! First established in 1868, the Swiss watch manufacturers have been crafting exceptional pieces of haute horlogerie that combine precision engineering with exclusive design. IWC ensure to only employ the finest craftsmen, and have created distinctive product collections, perfect for all occasions. These include robust watches for everyday use; professional sports watches; and special collectors' items.
The IWC watches have gained a reputation for fine and intricate wrist pieces that are extremely difficult to surpass. Whilst their watch making history is extensive, they are continually looking to the future to better their models and this was apparent with the release of a recent piece. Celebrating 75 years of the Portugieser with a new Perpetual Calendar, IWC has made a subtle change to the case with more flowing lines and a slightly decreased case size of 44.2mm which gives the timepiece a more refined look. These redevelopments really got everyone in the watch world talking and just shows that even after 140 years, they still have surprises up their sleeves.
With such exciting times ahead with our move to George Street, IWC are joining us as we begin our new stage as a flagship jewellery store in Scotland. As IWC have consistently shown their drive to improve on perfection, we know that they are going to be a brand that sits well with brand values here at Laing. We look forward to welcoming IWC and will look to see many familiar faces to make them feel at home when they arrive!
