The Laings Journal
Inside TAG Heuer
Set in the grounds of Goodwood House in Sussex from June 25th to 28th, the event will be a playground of motor racing madness, exhibiting legendary super cars from around the world.
And of course these super cars go very, very fast, which is where TAG Heuer come in. They will be providing up-to-the-millisecond timing information of all the races, the highlight of which being the famous 1.16mile Hillclimb, a challenging white-knuckle course through the estate. The record was set at 41.6 seconds by Nick Heidfeld in 1999 and the contest is a truly inspiring display of performance, power and pace.

TAG Heuer’s motor racing credentials go back a lot further though.
In 1963 TAG Heuer launched the Carrera, the first chronograph specifically designed for professional drivers, inspired by the legendary Carrera Panamericana Mexico Road Race. Their racing pedigree was cemented in 1971 when actor Steve McQueen wore a TAG Heuer Monaco in the classic racing film Le Mans. In 1985 they teamed up with McLaren to form one of the longest running partnerships in Formula One history.
Now, with their focus firmly on the future, they are also Formula E’s founding partner and official timekeeper, bringing together motor racing and entertainment with a commitment to sustainability.
Below are a few of our favourite motor racing inspired time pieces. You can browse and buy our full collection in store or online.
