In Store at Parkhouse Hampshire - the London Calatrava
In 2015 Patek Philippe marked their 175th anniversary with a Grand Exhibition in London, which gave fans of haute horlogerie an insight into Geneva’s last independently owned watchmaker, and celebrated their incredible history.
Historic and rare pieces were displayed alongside the latest and most exquisite releases, and to commemorate the city’s hosting of this one-of-a-kind exhibition, the maison produced a special, highly limited timepiece – the ladies London Calatrava.
This exquisite watch is the epitome of classic, timeless elegance. The 7200-010 is instilled with the Bauhaus philosophy – “form follows function”. Perfectly round, it is dedicated to the purest of functions, that of measuring time. That’s not to say this watch is dull, as it perfectly demonstrates that less is more in the most elegant of ways.
The perfect curves of the 34.6mm case are crafted in 18ct rose gold, while the crisp white dial is adorned with black Breguet numerals, minute track and hands. The caseback, engraved with "Patek Philippe, London 2015", reveals the legendary ultra-thin calibre 240 automatic movement at the heart of this timepiece.
This minimalist masterpiece was limited to a production of just 80 pieces worldwide, and we are lucky enough to have one in our Hampshire store. If you are interested in the watch, our Patek Philippe specialist Stewart Simpson would love to hear from you. Email him [email protected] or call him on 02380 226 653
