Diamonds of Every Size - The Carat
When buying a diamond it's not always all about the carat, you should take a look at the 4 C’s:
COLOUR – Graded from D (the best) to Z it really refers to the absence of colour in the diamond and we’d recommend anything above H.
CLARITY – This is the absence of inclusions, a SI1 and above will look gorgeous.
CUT – This is how the rough diamond has been shaped, as well as the look of the diamond. It’s really the most important as if it’s done wrong the diamond just won’t look perfect.
CARAT – How much the diamond weighs.
A lot of people think that Carat is the most important, believing bigger is better, but this isn’t always the case! Diamonds are beautiful at any size and if they’re of high quality in the other categories a lower carat diamond can be even more special than the bigger option. So bigger doesn’t always mean better and different styles of lower carat weights can really sparkle!
The Traditional Trilogy
Smaller carats in a trilogy ring work really well as the row of three diamonds isn’t overwhelming. It’s a beautifully elegant look and the three diamonds can really dazzle.
