Hello Beaut Chic! What’s your favourite aspect of blogging about all things fashion and beauty?
My favourite aspect of blogging all things fashion and beauty is that I am able to write about what I truly love and appreciate. Since I can remember, taking care of my skin has been a must… This definitely comes from my Nan teaching me at a very young age. Luckily, all of her tips have stayed with me throughout the years and my love for skincare has grown into testing as many beauty products as possible! Fashion is different for me. I am a collector. I adore attention to detail and get very excited to see what each new season brings! I am very lucky to have this platform where I can share my love with other beauty and fashion enthusiasts!
How would you describe your own personal jewellery style?
If I had to choose one word to describe my own personal jewellery style it would have to be, glamorous. I adore statement pieces, whether that be a piece of costume jewellery or an exquisite high end piece. Even the most delicate pieces of my collection sparkle and glisten and I will even wear these during my day-to-day life. Who said you need a special occasion to feel like a princess?!
Which celebrity’s jewellery box would you most love to play dress-up with?
I would absolutely have loved to play dress-up with Coco Chanel’s jewellery collection. Not only is she my favourite designer of all time, her personal style was so elegant and I really admire her sophisticated taste and how it still carries on through the current Chanel pieces.
Do you think jewellery plays an important role in crafting a personal style?
I certainly do think that jewellery plays an important role in crafting one’s personal style. My style, when it comes to clothing, is quite simple so I do find that adding a piece of jewellery to that really does pull any outfit together. I often receive compliments on my necklaces, which I love to experiment with, and this typically sparks a conversation, which is perfect for those awkward situations!
What’s your top tip for styling the perfect summer look?
My top tip for styling the perfect summer look would be to add a pop of colour through your jewellery. Even the simplest of outfits can look beautiful by adding colour through one or more pieces. During the hot weather, I love to tie my hair back in a low side bun and add colour through my necklace or earrings which, I find, really does brighten up the face.
What are your top trends for AW15?
My top trend favourites for AW15 would have to be the Big Belt and Cape trends. I love the idea of cinching in the waist, accentuating, what most people would say is the smallest part of their body, and throwing an elegant cape over the shoulders for comfort and warmth. Not only are capes very practical, they look stunning when accessorized with cocktail rings, bangles and elegant necklaces, just like the Laings 18ct Gold Emerald Peridot Pendant.
What is the most glamorous event you've attended?
The most glamorous event I have ever attended would have to be London Fashion Weeks “Fashion International” showcase. I have been attending for a few years now and love the atmosphere. Everybody really goes all out and I adore how their style really differs. You will find anything from high fashion to grunge glamour. I really do love to people watch from the front row…
If you could choose any Laings diamond, what item would be on your wish list?
If I could choose any Laings diamond it would most definitely be the 18ct White Gold Yellow and White Diamond Circle Pendant. I am in love with yellow diamonds and would certainly be in heaven if I owned this stunningly beautiful piece!
