This Cartier Tank collection is widely regarded as one of the first modern wrist watches ever made, and takes its inspiration from the shape and contours of the tanks used in World War I. Invented in 1917 by Louis Cartier, these watches are admired the world over thanks to their rectangular shape and varying complications. This pre-owned Tank Must model has a rectangular case, crafted from stainless steel, measuring 41mm x 31mm. The silver opaline dial features roman numeral indices, blued sword-shaped hands crafted from steel, the Cartier logo and a date window at 6 o’clock. A blue cabochon is set into the crown of this watch for a touch of colour, presented on a black leather strap with a deployment clasp fastening. This timepiece is powered by an automatic movement and is water resistant up to 30 metres.
