In the 90 years since the Reverso was born, it has become one of the most immediately recognisable watches of all time – a rare example of a design appreciated equally by men and women. For 2021, Jaeger-LeCoultre introduces a new interpretation of one its most admired feminine models, the new Reverso Duetto Medium.

A Tale of Two Dials
The phenomenon of the Reverso’s flip over case is one well known by watch afficionados worldwide. Originally designed to protect the glass of the watch when it was worn to play sports, this feature took on a new life in the 1990s with the introduction of a second dial. The addition of this Duoface function, that displays a second time-zone, was reconceived for the latest release to provide a foundation embedded in tradition and legacy.
Each dial from the new collection offers a distinctly different aesthetic expression of the same time – classically elegant on the front and more exuberant on the reverse – with two sets of hands animated by a single movement.
The new Reverso Duetto Medium in steel has a reverse dial in glowing sapphire blue – with a beautiful contrast between the frosted finish on the number ‘12’ and cool tone polished steel, this pairing creates a perfect match for the blue hands on the front dial and the shiny alligator strap. The pink gold model has a glossy black lacquer reverse dial, while the soft white of the front dial is complemented by golden baton hands to match the numerals and the pink gold case. To reinforce this tonal harmony, Jaeger-LeCoultre has introduced its signature shiny taupe alligator strap to the Reverso collection for the first time.
Technical Prowess
Continuing the tradition of precision technology and exceptional engineering from Jaeger-LeCoultre the Reverso Duetto Medium replaces the original hand-wound movement of the collection with the automatic manufacture Calibre 968A. Used to create a more refined action this movement is simply exceptional. With an improved 38 hour power reserve as well as 30 metre water resistance, the impressive operation of hours and minutes function on both dials allows the signature concept to reach new heights – solidifying the legacy of the Reverso for generations to come.
