Rustic Romance – Newhall Estate Edinburgh
You may recognise this venue from our spring photoshoot, the Newhall Estate is a totally stunning setting that we believe perfectly encapsulates romance. Located just outside of Edinburgh, the grounds centre around Newhall House, a gorgeous Scottish Baronial home that is equally rich in history and as it is in character. Dating back to 1703, when it was constructed by David Forbes, Newhall has been home to generations of families. Subtle homages to its history are displayed throughout the venue in tributes to Allan Ramsay’s poem ‘The Gentle Shepherd’ – a pleasant delineation of rustic manners in the countryside of the Scottish lowlands in the 18th century.
