Panerai has long manufactured spectacular timepieces and the Luminor Marina Carbotech is no different. Demonstrating the peak of sophisticated sports watches this piece is certainly a force to be reckoned with. Let's have a closer look at the iconic Panerai Luminor collection that we all know and love as well as some details of Panerai's latest launch.

The Iconic Luminor

First launched in the 1940s the Luminor was a wristwatch manufactured exclusively for the Italian Navy, with its practical design and legibility it has made a trustworthy companion for decades. Fast forward to 1993 and the Panerai Luminor is released to the public, quickly achieving exceptional global success. Today the Luminor pays homage to its history and unparalleled design as it reinterprets the classic proportions in a contemporary manner, preserving all the characteristics which over the years have made this watch an icon of luxury sports watchmaking.

The PAM10661

The PAM01661 is the latest offering from the Italian watchmaker and an ultra-modern take on Panerai's iconic dive watch. A sleek and sporty model with a balance of exclusive design and precision engineering this piece is a hit with enthusiasts worldwide.

With a robust 44mm case Panerai's Carbotech carbon material works to keep the watch's total weight as just 96g making it significantly more comfortable and wearable than other larger models, however, the beauty is all in the detail. The cushion case, prominent bezel, short lugs and crown guard are all parts of the iconic Luminor design. Finished on a jet black dial the Arabic numerals and simple hour markers are all paired with the signature blue SuperLuminova detail and provide the utmost legibility true to the models military diving roots. Powering the watch is the P.9010 calibre, an in house self-winding movement with the 72-hour power reserve used throughout the Luminor collection.
