Laings are pleased to announce that following the re-opening of their Southampton store they will be re-opening in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cardiff on June 30th following government guidelines. To ensure the safety of all customers and staff they will be operating on an appointment-only basis.
With a history dating back to 1840, Laings is a family jeweller that has stood the test of time. Through the hardships of two World Wars and economic uncertainty, our valued customers have stood by us throughout the generations as we’ve adapted to circumstances and continued to thrive.
We have been working hard to ensure that we can safely open our doors when government guidelines permit. Plans have now been put in place to allow us to safely re-open our Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cardiff showrooms on June 30th, and customers will be invited to book appointments held in-store.
The health and safety of our clients, staff and community have been paramount and at the forefront of our re-opening strategy post-lockdown. We will be introducing a bespoke appointment service, available to book online, allowing us to deliver a five-star personalised customer experience whilst ensuring the comfort and safety of clients and staff at all times.

Ahead of our re-opening, our retail staff are undergoing specialised training to enable them to continue to deliver their renowned customer service, alongside the necessary safety measures. Safety equipment is set-up in the store, and social distancing will be practised, with a limited number of people in the store at any one time. Furthermore, the store has been deep-cleaned to ensure that it is ready to welcome customers.
Stuart continued: “We opened our Southampton store on June 16th on an appointment-only basis and were pleased to welcome customers back in store. The scheduled appointments have shown that we can effectively implement social distancing and provide a safe environment. Both our customers and staff have felt comfortable and safe in store, enjoying their time with us. We’re looking forward to seeing the same positive response in our other showrooms.

Now comes a period of adjustment, and we have had to make some changes to continue to provide our first-class service, quality craftsmanship and the Laings Experience.
