Breitling and the Royal Airforce have long been partners of the skies and the latest Avenger model in the collection celebrates this partnership, focusing on the excellence of the Red Arrows. Here we take a closer look at the watch that has conquered the skies.

The BREITLING AVENGER AUTOMATIC GMT 45 RED ARROWS is part of the recently launched re-designed Avenger collection, paying homage to the RAF and the excellence of the Red Arrows. The collector’s timepiece is a limited edition model, with only 220 pieces produced and the case back is marked with an individual number, as well as the RAF logo. Breitling is, in fact, the only luxury watch brand that has been granted exclusive permission to feature the RAF Red Arrows emblems, making it a very special piece for explorers of the sky.
Breitling has a renowned reputation as the leading manufacturer of aviation watches and are the official supplier to the RAF Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows. Their history dates back to the 1930s and they have shared some of the finest moments in humankind’s conquest of the skies.
When the relationship was first beginning Breitling supplied the on-board flight chronographs in the cockpits of the legendary RAF bombers and fighter aircraft. This collaboration has now been ongoing for 25 years and pilots still wear Breitling chronographs today for their accuracy and reliability.

Since 1965 the Red Arrows have garnered a reputation as the world’s premier aerobatic display team, representing speed, agility and the precision of the RAF. Their pilots represent the very best in flying and operational excellence, with attention to detail and precision at the heart of the Team. The performances rely on exact timing and they aim to inspire, their ethos is shared by Breitling and the luxury watch brand has used these pillars to create a timepiece that encapsulates the spirit of the iconic team.
The famous ‘Diamond Nine’ featured on the dial of the Avenger Red Arrows GMT shows the close formation of the Hawk fast-jets and their precision flying. This is complemented by red accents that reflect the colours of the RAF, as well as luminescent material that makes the watch easily readable. Powered by the Breitling Caliber 32, a COSC-certified movement it has a power reserve of approximately 42 hours.
