1 – What is it for you that makes diamonds so special?
One thing that has always fascinated me is that diamonds are a completely natural phenomenon. I love that something that has been hidden underground for billions of years can be transformed into something so beautiful - Louise Ramsay, Diamond Manager, Edinburgh

2 – What is your favourite diamond cut and why?
Personally I love emerald cut diamonds. I think they work really well in a trilogy style, as this particular shape has an art deco feel to it. - Louise Ramsay
There are so many beautiful diamond cuts, but you can never go wrong with a round brilliant diamond. They are second-to-none for light refraction and sparkle. - Jennifer Riddell, Diamond Specialist
3 – What is your favourite piece of jewellery in store at the moment?
An eternity ring has always been a favourite of mine. For me, an eternity ring completes the circle of love, acting as the final chapter in your journey. 4 – Do you have a favourite customer engagement story?
It has to be when a customer contacted us from Afghanistan. He wanted to propose to his girlfriend at the airport on his return. We arranged for the ring to be passed to him before he reached arrivals so that he could propose as soon as he saw her. We went to the airport to make sure everything went smoothly, consequently it was amazing to see this special moment and congratulate the newly-engaged couple. - Mairi Perston
A couple of years ago a customer asked us to organise a plaque for the window and a small display surrounding his chosen ring. He then took his girlfriend for a walk through the Argyll Arcade, pausing at our window. As soon as she saw the sign he proposed then and there. It was lovely to congratulate them and talk his new fiancée through the glittering ring that he’d chosen. - Claudia Sarti, Assistant Manager, Glasgow
5 – What’s your favourite piece of diamond jewellery that you wear?
I would say that my favourite has to be my five-stone diamond eternity band. I originally bought it as a three-stone ring to celebrate a promotion. Over time though I wanted to add more diamond. Our Bespoke Deign Department added an additional two stones and I’m delighted with the finished piece. I always look fondly on this piece and think of it as a reward for years of hard work. - Claire Ross

7 – In your opinion, what’s the best diamond buy of the moment?

This particular ring ESME DIAMOND RING is an 18ct yellow gold solitaire with a 1.01ct hand-selected round brilliant diamond. It’s a magnificent diamond.
