A Royal Wedding – What Ring Harry Chose For Meghan Markle

Time to go hat shopping – there’s going to be another Royal wedding! Prince Harry and his bride-to-be made their first appearance as an engaged couple in Kensington Palace gardens and we couldn’t wait to see what ring Meghan Markle has said ‘yes!’ to. Here we look at how you can capture the style of her stunning trilogy ring.

Meghan MarkleAmerican actress, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced their engagement earlier this week and they couldn’t have looked happier as they spoke to the press in Kensington Palace gardens. There have been rumours circulating for weeks now that Harry was going to pop the question and he even confessed that he knew he was going to marry Meghan the moment he laid eyes on her – aww. The hopeless romantic got down on one knee whilst they were cooking up a roast chicken and we couldn’t wait to see the ring!

Prince Harry designed the stunning ring himself, opting for a classic ‘trilogy’ style with three diamonds. Each diamond also has a special meaning, making it a really personal piece. The magnificent 2.5ct centre cushion-cut diamond is from Botswana where the couple have holidayed together. The two round diamonds either side of the centre stone were from Princess Diana’s personal collection, adding a sentimental touch and helping to create a really thoughtful ring.

We bet Meghan’s over the moon with the dazzling creation, but how can you re-create the look…

Meghan MarkleThe Trilogy Style

A trilogy ring represents your past, present and future together as a couple and so is a really romantic choice. It’s also a really timeless design and you can use any three gems that you like to create your own style! If you’re sticking to diamonds this is a really exquisite design that perfectly emulates the style of Meghan’s ring. The centre oval cut diamond is a magnificent 1.02ct and is framed by two dazzling pear cut diamonds. A stunning choice that creates a truly glamorous style.

Meghan MarkleGoing for Gold

It has been reported that the Suits star, Meghan Markle, prefers yellow gold when it comes to precious metals. The classic, more traditional choice, has seen a resurgence in recent years and is definitely becoming popular again. The warm metal adds a glow to the ring and if you complete the look with diamond-set shoulders you’re bound to glitter. This beautiful trilogy ring has a stunning 0.31ct round brilliant diamond at its centre, which is enhanced by two smaller round brilliant gems either side.

Meghan MarkleA Cushion Cut Diamond

Copy the style of Meghan’s engagement ring with a magnificent cushion cut diamond placed at the centre. The cushion cut is a really elegant square-shaped style and it has become a modern favourite due to its more unique look. Designed with a four-claw setting to truly show off its sparkle, the 1.01ct cushion cut diamond in the centre of this ring is simply dazzling. Framed by trillion cut diamonds on either side and set on a platinum band this is a ring that’s bound to wow.
