Looking for some much needed proposal inspiration? We recently asked you all how you got engaged.  Getting engaged is one of the best moments of your life and we had an overwhelming response, so much so we won't to bring you all our Top 10 proposals from some of our favourite brides to be in Glasgow...

10. I was proposed to on a st lucian beach with private dinner and a stunning laings ring and of course said yes !! found out 4 days later I was expecting our first baby who is now 5 months old!- Jenny Williams, Scotland

9.  My fiancé and I were travelling in Australia and went to visit some friends from home in Melbourne. On our first evening we all went for dinner then up the Eureka Tower and out on 'the Edge', a glass box sticking out from the side of a the tower...88 floors up! Despite being together for 6 years it was a complete, but happy, shock. To top it off, the lovely staff caught it on camera and gave us all of the photos for free! 8. We went with friends to a Christmas night out at the Lovat hotel in Perth. My (now fiance) said he felt sick after the dinner and was going for a lie down in the room. My friends got me up to dance then in came a very handsome man dressed in a navy officers uniform (officer and a gentleman). He had a microphone n pulled me close to dance. I couldn't see his face at all. It was my birthday also and i assumed my friends had got me a stripper. Next thing the guys on his knee with a ring, looks up and says infront of 250 people ' i love you so much, will you marry me?' The whole place erupted, complete strangers came to congratulate us and the staff brought champagne. 'balls of steel' one guy said and i have to agree! - Nicola Cairns, Glasgow

7. We were on holiday in Kenya this July, we went on a morning hot air balloon ride in the Masai Mara followed by a short land rover drive to a campsite champagne breakfast. In front of the fantastic people we met there he made an amazing speech he secretly prepared, going onto one knee asking me to become his wife. There wasn't a dry eye in the whole game reserve! He really had thought through every last detail, I'm a very lucky girl- Cassandra Kay

6. My fiancé proposed written in the sand at our local beach. We go there regularly with our son so I never suspected a thing, I turned round to see will you marry me surrounded by a love heart. 5. My boyfriend (now fiancé) went to Barcelona on our first abroad holiday ever for his sixtieth birthday. On his birthday he wanted to go on the cable car and he asked one of the strangers in the car with us to take a photo of us. The next thing I noticed he was down on one knee!!! Just as I said yes, the stranger took the photo. It was really quite romantic. We got a huge bear hug from the guy that drives the cable car. Although, we do have a laugh thinking about if I said no! We would have had to wait a long time before we could have got out of the cable car! - Donna Clark, Glasgow

4. My fiancé and I went a walk through chatelerault on the diamond jubilee - he took me a detour down by the river and sat me down, he was soo nervous! He pulled out a poem he had written which was funny, sad and all round romantic, got down on one knee and proposed (while crying - although I'm not allowed to say that) with a beautiful diamond engagement ring from yourselves! 3.  My fiancée blindfolded me on Xmas morning and pretended to be carrying a large present through from the other room but when he told me to take the blindfold off he was down in one knee in front of me with the ring in his hand!! Most amazing moment of my life!!!! - Victoria Kennedy, Strathaven

2. We went out for dinner last Christmas Eve.... We grew up in the same little village (he used to have a wee on my fence on the way home from the pub not realising it was my house haha). After dinner we went for a walk to Edinburgh castle esplanade. It was dark and all the Christmas lights were twinkling and he got down on one knee with the most perfect ring ever! After saying a huge yes, the ring fitted perfectly. Christmas Cracker Will you marry me?

1. My daughter Jennifer's lovely boyfriend,Robert,proposed to her in a Christmas cracker. When she pulled the cracker there was a puzzle in it, and when she made up the puzzle it said 'will you marry me?'. She burst into tears at the table and everybody wondered what was wrong. Tears of happiness though. She phoned me in Canada to tell me what he had done, and I immediately burst into tears too!Wedding planning for next year.
